Reading the biography of More in Catholic Encyclopedia I found some very beautiful descriptions of this saint by his dear friend and fellow scholar, Erasmus:
"It is said that none are so free of vice."
"He seems born and framed for friendship, and is a most faithful and enduring friend . . .When he finds any sincere and according to his heart, he so delights in their society and conversation as to place in it the principal charm of life."
St. Thomas More, for those who are unaware, is famous for his ultimate defense of the faith in his martyrdom under the auspices of his king, Henry VIII. Reportedly, More's last words were these: "I die the King's good servant, but God's first."
That's what I'm talkin' about - St. Thomas More! Nice job so far. Keep it going! Hey, who's the patron saint of artists anyway. Bl. Fra. Angelico? Maybe there could be two: St. David Myers as the other.
