A SINCERE THANK YOU

As many purveyors of this website know, I have worked at Duke University Medical Center for the past two years, and I recently transferred to the GYN Oncology division as scheduler of surgeries and patient appointments. About one week into my new job I was asked to interview for another position at Duke. When I was subsequently offered the new position, my employers in GYN Oncology were very gracious, seeing that I had such a great opportunity for advancement. By rights they could have asked that I remain in the position I was in for at least 6 months. This drawing is a thank you for their understanding and a tribute to their great work for women facing the difficult trials of Cancer.
During my time at Duke, I have found the doctors and staff of GYN Oncology to be extremely professional, kind, and approachable. The doctors depicted in this poster are the attending surgeons of the division. Clockwise from the top: Dr. Andrew Berchuck, Chief of GYN Oncology, Dr. Paula S. Lee, Dr. Laura Havrilesky, Dr. Fidel Valea, and Dr. Angeles Secord. To me, surgeons are like super heroes or marathon runners. I don't know how they do what they do. They're the best. This poster is also a tribute to the work of all the staff of GYN Oncology, from fellows, residents, and nurses, down to supporting grunts like myself. Many thanks!
