This latest drawing, entitled "Edenic Maternals," is also intended for the Theology thesis project that I am helping to illustrate. It portrays the tree of Knowledge, Eve, and the tree of Life from the creation account in the book of Genesis. Eve is pictured at the moment of self realization, after she and her husband had sinned. Her arms reach up to cover her nakedness, suddenly aware of the cold, new world they have set in motion, and her eyes are downcast in shame. She is beautiful, but suddenly old and forlorn.
