A Husband’s Prayer

Heavenly Father, through Your Son Jesus Christ,
You have revealed that marriage is a deep mystery.
Share with me the heart of a father, the best of fathers.

Lord Jesus, You worked, taught, and suffered to save Your bride. Give me the strength and tenderness of heart that will inspire me to strive
for the good of my wife and my family,
especially for the salvation of their souls.

Holy Spirit, bond of love, join me to my wife,
and make me a sturdy shelter for her when life is hard.

Blessed Mother of God, maker of the first
Christian home, bless our house with your prayers.

Good St. Joseph, you worked in obscurity and poverty that your family might survive and the world be saved. I rely in a special way on your prayers. Through them may our family never be poor for love, even when we are tried by material need.

I ask all of this for my good and that of my household, through Christ Our Lord. Amen.
