Divine Mercy

"For the sake of His sorrowful Passion, have mercy on us, and on the whole world..." This image of the Divine Mercy was completed today, Good Friday 2006, while on retreat with the Franciscans of the Third Order Regular here in Washington, D.C. Today I was able to attend stations of the Cross and Good Friday service at the Franciscan Monastery of the Holy Land, a wonderful experience. We also watched the Passion of the Christ again, and tonight I will be attending a "burial service" of the Lord at the same Monastery - since the Friars have a replica of Christ's tomb in Jerusalem, they prepare a statue of the Lord for burial in a prayerful service in remembrance of His entombment.
