Stations of the Cross: Jesus consoles the Women of Jerusalem

Another drawing I did from the Passion of the Christ does not appear in the movie itself, but had to be reconstructed using a couple of images from the movie. In the scene here, Jesus is shown facing unseen women who are overcome at the sight of "the Man of Sorrows," who even in the inconsolable grief of His own agony draws breath to counsel and to prophesy. "If men treat the wood this way when it is green, what will they do when it is dry?"
