This drawing is of my father and his parents, and is for his birthday(March 13th). My grandmother and my grandfather make quite a lovely pair. My grandfather died this past year, and I will always remember his funeral as a day in which we celebrated a truly remarkable, virtuous life. His integrity and goodness live on in the lives of my father and his brothers. Every time I remember the sermons(that's right, there were two) given on the day of his funeral, I am reminded how very much I have to live up to, and the shadows in my life fall into starker contrast. I pray that his example may give me and others the opportunity to experience conversion, and to strive for the excellence of Christian virtue he personified.Friday, March 09, 2007
